Huawei has officially introduced a hardware device 5G first in the world for car industry, showing the growing ambitions of the company wants to become the main supplier for self-drive industry.
According to Reuters, Huawei ‘s MH5000 module is based on a 5G chip called Balong 5000 which was launched in January. Based on this chip, Huawei developed the first 5G module for cars in the world with high speed and very high quality. This module is currently being exhibited at the Shanghai Autoshow event taking place in Shanghai.
Huawei’s spokesman said the 5G module will be an important telecommunications product for smart transport in the future, boosting the car industry to the 5G era. This module will be commercialized by Huawei in the second half of this year.
Huawei in recent years has experimented with many smart connecting technologies in Chinese cities such as Shanghai, Shenzhen, Wuxi and the company has signed a cooperation agreement with a range of car manufacturers. including FAW, Dongfeng and Changan.
Huawei is also the world’s largest telecommunications equipment manufacturer, which is trying to lead the next-generation global 5G network race, but has been investigated by the US for the time being because its equipment can used for spying.
